Gays in the Military

I think most straight people my age think the same way. "if your gay just don't hit on me and we will be coo". honestly i don't care what you do in your off time. i don't think your job should dictate whether you should lie to yourself or hide the main part of your life away from life itself. in the army there are many gay people (male and female) and ill be damned if i (a muslim) tell someone that they make me feel uncomfortable so "don't tell me and i want ask if your gay". i honestly would want to know if my friend was gay. and i wouldn't think differently about them at all. everyday i turn on the tv i see the media step all over this subject. and everyday gays are referred to as "these people". what the hell is wrong with our country now. brave we are but free we are not. we shackle ourselves and throw away the key. why are people scared of others that don't resemble them? i got back from afghanistan in may2010 and its very sad to say that the country that been at war for the past 30 years is more at peace with itself then our "perfect country". we fight amongst ourselves for what? but that's a whole other blog lol

  1. true..but thats not the case... we are so consumed of how people are different than us that we dont notice what we really are doing. its sad but being Gay is still a taboo..can you imagine when we are so advanced in the world..i mean we have have iphones, ipads ,ipods, droids, 3D TV and high def TV but yet discrimination based on sexuality and religion still exist!
